Ingredients of Veggie puffs
- Prepare of Puffs ingredients:.
- Prepare ±250gr of wheat flour.
- You need 2 tablespoon of margarine/ butter (melt it).
- You need 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.
- Prepare ±70 ml of water.
- It's Pinch of salt (optional).
- You need of For veggies filling, you can use anything you desire. Here are the ingredients of mine:.
- Prepare 1 of big oyster mushroom, cut into small cubes.
- It's ±2 inches of of medium sized carrot, cut into small cubes.
- You need 2 of eggs (separate a bit of the white egg for the puff sealing).
- It's Pinch of pepper powder.
- It's 1 clove of garlic, minced.
Veggie puffs step by step
- Mix all puffs ingredients except water into a bowl, add water gradually while kneading, until the dough smooth and not sticky. Wrap the dough, keep into the fridge ±15 mins.
- Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, put on mushroom and carrot, stir fry ±2 mins, add pinch of salt & pepper, add on abit of water. Stir for a while, then add on the eggs, scramble until cooked..
- Divide the dough into 8 (you can divide it into more, if you wanted to make smaller size of puffs), flatten the dough into circle shape. While you doing this, you can start heating up the oil for frying the puffs later..
- Fill in the flattened doughs with the stir fried veggies ±3 tablespoons, seal the edge with white egg (spread it onto half of the circle), braid it (to make the edge sealed tighter)..
- Deep fry until both side golden colored..
